This series of paintings is a selection of my work in private collections and was inspired by the Canadian shield country close to my cottage and by recent visits to Vancouver Island and the Yukon.  The highly textured impasto effect was achieved with the palette knife.  Prints of all paintings in this gallery are available at rmacarth.pixels.com.
